This just in! Leading scientists from around the globe have confirmed that weight training is good for you and will not make you 'muscle-bound.' There are great benefits to regular scheduled workouts, correct nutrition and an overall healthy lifestyle. Everything from your physique and strength to overall well- being will improve. Performed correctly you will have more daily energy and vigor! Body fat percentages will decrease and muscle tone will increase, one of the many things that will lead to improved posture. You will make less trips to the doctor's office by boosting the immune system and help fend off symptoms of disease. Daily exercise reduces your cholesterol levels as well as your waistline. The best way to get into shape is to implement weight training several days a week. We asked local L.A. trainer Ken Hanlon, how to get started on a path towards better health. He recommends a set training program every day with one day of rest. "You don't need a trainer every single day, but a good trainer will help you get into the right groove where you aren't overtraining (burning out) or undertraining (with no results), give you the right nutrition counsel and make sure your gym safety and etiquette are spot on." Hitting the iron can also be a
cardiovascular workout when done set after set in succession with little to no rest. "Remember cardio training can be performed with varying degrees of intensity as can your weight room training so you won't be expected to 'run marathons' everyday. Just get into the practice of optimum health & fitness and reap the rewards!"
Hanlon is fully certified & insured and train's clients from $60.00 for outdoor training up to $80.00 for in gym training at TRAIN/LIFT 624 N. La Cienega Blvd, W. Hollywood 90069.
